“Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.”
Henry Ward Beecher
To gaze into the artwork of this month’s featured photographer Ron Vestal forces you to contemplate the soul behind these works of art. What lies beneath the chest of a man with this kind of vision? What psychological pathologies must exist for another human being to see things so colorfully, so vivid and yet strangely, so hopelessly dark as well. According to his upcoming interview, Ron Vestal’s artwork Glow Art® is simply his manifestation of the ethereal within all of us.
I know you will enjoy this small gallery collection of his work that Damali Conceptuals and I put together for your enjoyment. The beauty of Ron’s models and the beauty of his creativity and technical expertise will enthrall you exactly like it did for me. Speaking of models, it’s funny how greatness just seems to know greatness. The stunning model in Ron Vestal ‘s breathtaking silhouette shots are none other than Soft Screams Magazine featured model for May 2015, Nije Durdeen! Small world huh? The majority of this feature are from Ron Vestal’s Day Glow collection and style. These images feature a model and burlesque performance artist new to Soft Screams Magazine named Scarlett Storm. The combination of these three talents in one collection is what I honestly believe creates the essence of a flawless feature and that is exactly what I see and feel when I look at this feature and marinate with them on it.

“The Sensuality of GLOW Photography”
- What’s your background in Photography? When and why did you get started? Was it for the glamour? The money? Pure kicks?
I studied Radio, Television and Film at The Pennsylvania State University. At a Still Image class I discovered I have a natural eye for creative expression through visual images. I pursued that interest and skill through Local Cable Television production. I specialized in Music oriented shows in nightclubs in Chester, Pennsylvania.
- What is fun and rewarding about photography?
Photography Is fun specifically for me in that I have a following in a genre that is grossly under-explored. I am opening avenues in a genre that allows me to expand the limits of imagination and the entirety of the universe using only material found right here on this plane.
- What do you dislike about photography?
Since digital photography has greatly expanded the industry the competition between photographers to succeed commercially tends to bring out poor human qualities like jealousy, envy, slander.
